Happy NSWE Day!!!
« on: July 20, 2019, 01:15:39 PM »
Happy NSWE Day everyone. It was on this day 12 months the club officially announced the sale of the club to Nasif and Wes. What a fucking incredible year it’s been.

Hasn’t it just TV.

In hindsight, losing to Fulham was the best result our club has had for years.

It exposed for all to see how far we had sunk. It wasn’t just Xia/Wyness/Bruce, it was all of those years of Lerner and his mismanagement too. All of the years of really bad decisions rolled into the very thought out club could be wound up. It was right given everything we let Bruce stay and I will always thank Glenn Whelan for that penalty miss too, because that then started the Dean Smith era. But without these two guys simply put we’d be buried right now.

Ta mate, at least Villa doing well has distracted me from the burning loathing of Brexit and Trump that eats away at my soul hourly 😂

Yeah, I've thought that a few times. Best defeat in our history. Mad to think that for a couple of months, it seemed like that game might be the catalyst for the actual extinction of the club.

Thanks Wes and Nassef. ❤️

Agree with the sentiment; it's been a helluva year thanks to them. Thank you.

Do we have to start renumbering things now? 1874 is 144 B-NSWE? 2019 becomes 1 A-NSWE?

Just asking ...

Incredible to think where we were a year and a day ago. Massive strides since Deano took the reigns, in every element of the club. As a fan I'm still recovering and shaking my head in disbelief after the play off final. A big thank you to both Nasif and Wes for giving us our club back.

What a year indeed.  Solid foundations, great people running the club and back in the Premier Division.  Some excellent players signed and the fans are back in love with the club after a torrid few years.
