All I can say is what is wrong with Montpellier or Girona? Tsk!
So still no season tickets on sale, and now a friendly against a European team in a city with no direct flights. Brilliant.
there was good podcast on the bbc world service on rb leipzig and why they're so hated in germany, a couple of years ago here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04r08vf
Was having a look at how to get to Leipzig, and there doesnt seem to be any economical way of doing it (preferably out Friday, back Sunday). Anybody else thinking of going and found a relatively affordable way of getting there?I was looking at going to Berlin and train down but even then the flights aren't the best - happy to go from BHX or EMA.
Leipzig is the nearest city to Colditz Castle. I can feel a "two birds with one stone" trip coming on.

The stories of expensive flights made me think again, but then I was thinking it'd be a nice trip to drive and being able to see Colditz too would be brilliant.Although I've just remembered it is in (the old) East Germany, and therefore a very, very fucking long drive.

I think it was about a 5 hour trip each way.
