Albion's only clear tactic was a Game of Throw-ins

Well there we are. They are happy they beat us over 90 mins. We are happy to be going to Wembley again. Different standards but all of us satisfied:
Quote
All i can say is think what we could have done had we a full squad to pick from.

We can blame Brunt, Gayle or HRK, but ultimately there are many incidents this season that have cost us.

The lads played their hearts out tonight and the fans were superb. We played right to the very last kick.

Gutted we didn't win, but ultimately, do you honestly think we'd have had a successful season in the PL with this squad?

Well done to JS for his efforts.

Anyway. We beat Villa, which is all we asked for.

Boing boing x

Whatever Jed Steer does the rest of his career, he'll always be remembered by Villa fans for the 2 saves, superb efforts. Don't know, but probably the only Villa keeper to save 2 pens in a shootout, think Guzan may have saved one going back a few years.

Guzan saved three in a penalty shootout win against Sunderland.

Thanks CD, so Jed could still be the only Villa keeper to save 2 pens in a shootout.

Slight caption error on ITV's Good Morning Britain reads:
"Champions League: Aston Villa beat West Bromwich Albion 4-3"
Aha bless. They don't really do sport very well do they?

Albion should have let the Boiler take one of the penalties.

Jimmy Shan's mum is called Jacqui, which made me chortle more than it probably should have this morning.

Well Piers Moron is on so that’s an immediate disadvantage, the fucking Arsenal supporting Tarquin.

What a feeling, what a night.

I watched at the Beehive in South London and it was absolutely packed with Villa fans. Great scenes when we won, took me right back to the world cup!

No, Bozzie and Guzan both saved two. They just saved another one afterwards 😉

A friend of mine, Albion supporter, always always writes his name as Cbrunt due to a long list of reasons.

We've got R2 on this morning and I've just found out that gargantuan fuck-wit Ritchie Anderson was on the PA last night.

My smile has just got even wider....

Poor performance but correct result. I would be embarrassed if we had parked the bus at home in the second leg, there was only one team playing football over both legs and the stats confirm that. They are a dirty, cynical and boring team. Their red cards against us were totally deserved and spot on, in Gayles case, overdue. Whoever we play in the final, I'm sure, will play differently to the Baggies.

We have come a long way since they beat us at home in February, After that dross I never thought we would get near the top six, let alone the final.

The difference with this years Wembley appearance, is that I actually have faith in our team to compete and make us proud, unlike last year, under Bruce, where it was more fingers crossed.

Anyway see you all there on the 27th, UTV
