Absolutely proud of Aston Villa tonight. On March 2nd we pretty much had 15 cup finals to come through if we were somehow going to go from being abysmal to being promoted, almost no one thought we would do it. We've come through 14 tough games, one more to go. The players have shown belief, heart, spirit and skill all along the way. We went 1 down tonight and could have folded, we didn't.

It wasn't a great performance, the two legs were a war of attrition but we are still standing.

Well done Villa.

They tried to shithouse their way to to the final but you always run the risk of bookings by doing it and the red killed them. The first 2 penalties they took looked like you'd expect from a team that was knackered from chasing us for the last 45 minutes.

This was the big mistake they made, kicked Jack all over the place in the first game, tried to kick us of the park in the second game, 2 sending offs, its cost them, even possibly the Premiership.

I think Smith has got them too relaxed. Just not enough gumption but overall we dominated.

Onwards and upwards.

That was horrible to watch. Far more difficult than it should have been.

Can't play like that again.

Sort it out Villa.

Thank you Jed.

In  Barcelona, hammered, feell hideously sick, gash performance, they nullified our better players over both games but loooking at it objectively though only 1 team wanted the win over 180 miinutes.

We can immediately improve on that performance by not picking Taylor or Green for Wembley.

I'll be awake for hours now. What a horrible game and performance with a surprisingly upbeat ending. Never want to go through that again, so win it in normal time at Wembley, you bunch of bastards.

We got away with it.

Nice way to win but the worst sort of performance to take into a Wembley final imo.

Our attacking players going missing isn't a good sign, same happened this time last year when Grabban, Snoddy and Adomah all went off form.

Still take our chances in two weeks and hope for once we put in a really good performance in a Wembley final. We are well overdue.

Let’s face it, if someone had offered you the Play Off Final immediately after we lost to the Albion in February, you’d have absolutely bitten their hand off, and probably thought they were mental. Phenomenal effort lads, thank you every single one.

I don't think we were awful, just flat, largely because they 'Bruced' us and killed the game. How they played tonight was very similar to what we did to a few teams last season, we just had the extra quality up front (that they were missing in Gayle and Robson-Kanu) to punish teams for their mistakes.

As an added bonus, not only do we have the joy of winning, think just how many fans of so many other clubs are absolutely fucking devastated right now.

Players need to chill out, these kind of celebrations have led to our last few underperformances in finals

If you can't enjoy getting to Wembley we may as well ban the game.

We can immediately improve on that performance by not picking Taylor or Green for Wembley.

No chance Green will play, he'll struggle to make the bench.

Guess it will show DS's intentions if it's Albert or Kodjia starting. Steve Bruce would pick Adomah all day long. I'd like to see Kodjia start tbh, give Leeds (I assume it will be them) something to worry about rather than playing into their hands.
