I think it will be the same starting 11, but we really need to score first. I can not see this being 0-0.

Originally forecast a draw at home followed by win at The Hawthorns - would now be extremely happy with a 1-1
Score first and We will romp it

It is too soon for this thread. I am still emotionally drained from yesterday.

Originally said we'd win both legs 2-1, so not going to change that prediction now.

Do we start Hourihane, after his great play in the 1st leg, or go more defensive with Whelan? Could argue that Green or Kodjia should start ahead of Adomah, but again Albert adds more defensively.

Got to stsart on the front foot so Hourihane and Green start for me. We needed width and pace yesterday and we didnt get it until Dean had reminded them at half time and Green came on.He's not brilliant yet but they cant handle pace and itll create space and time for others.

Alberts knows hes finished and looks it.Kodja just isnt sure where he wants to play...

Albion 1-2 Aston Villa is my prediction.  We have to go all out in the first few minutes to score first - that will hopefully knock the stuffing out of them. Villa will score in this game in my opinion.

The first goal is all important in this game so lets hope we score an early goal...I don't want or need the stress if it goes the other way.

1-3 Villa...but can also see it playing out as a draw.

Fuck the Albion!

So I'm one of the lucky 2000 privileged to go on Tuesday.

Got there because of the controversial away scheme. Last year serious family illness took total precedence and  meant we couldn't rack up many aways at all, though season tickets were of course maintained. This year thankfully things have been better, thanks to the fabulous fabulous people at the Sheldon Unit at Good Hope Hospital, and my wife and I have clocked up 15 games on the road following the boys.
There are, I know, people with more than that, this year and last year, who have a stronger claim to these tickets than us.

But we wouldn't give them up for thousands.
But believe me , we feel the responsibilty. Us 2000 represent the 38,000 Villa fans in the ground Saturday and countless thousands who aren't lucky enough to get to Villa as regularly as us, or who have put in the support over the years but for whatever reason can't get there too often any more. That means we're all singing for at least 50 others who would love to be there.

So we have to bring it. If the guy or girl next to us is singing we need to sing too. If we hit adversity on the pitch, we need to bring it more. If it goes quiet and a lone voice starts belting it out, we need to be there with the second line. Make it feel like we're at Villa Park all over again. We owe it to those who would give their left bollock (or boob) to be there Tuesday.

Be loud. Be proud. Be Villa.

See you at Wembley.

I think Whelan ought to start. In hindsight, given that they parked the bus on Saturday, that should've been Hourihane's start. They'll come at us on Tuesday so I think we need Whelan in there with CH to come on second half.

I wasn’t nervous at all for the first leg, but feeling it already for this one...the hope, anticipation and expectation of what could happen if we get through is overwhelming when you consider the implications and consequences of the outcome of the results of the next game...and hopefully the one after that! Fuck the fucking fuckers...fuck the Albion!

Yup, I'd go that way. I'd imagine we'd be a bit shit at parking the bus ourselves, so our best form of defence really is attack. Bringing Hourihane on is the only positive tactical in-game change we can make to our starting eleven, and it's a bloody good one. Anything else we can do is only like-for-like positionally (wingers, Abraham/Kodjia/Davis, centre-halves). To start Hourihane and to then have to sub Whelan on would sound to me like wheels being in impending danger of falling off, and I'd rather we never have to contemplate that.
