Well let's hope that's our bad 45 mins of the play offs

We’ve been poor, Grealish, McGinn, Tammy all done nothing. Whelans fuck up summed us up really but he wasn’t alone, Adomah and Ming’s looked sloppy to. Steer’s brilliant save has kept us in this.

It’s only quarter time but tuck me we need to improve.

Strange sort of feeling after 45 mins. We clearly had the most attacking intent but less chances and could be 3 down if it wasn’t for decent clearance and a stunning steer save

Had a lot of the ball, but produced nothing.

Poor half. Need to up the intensity and get Grealish on the ball further forward. He can't be picking up the ball half way inside our own half. Give it 15 minutes and if we haven't got them on the back foot consider making a change but don't go crazy gung -ho. They're a better side away than at home and there's no sense in throwing the tie away going overboard in the first leg.

Big 15 minutes in the dressing room. Need to be 10 yards further up the pitch and move the ball with some urgency.

That being said a big minute has changed the game; Tammy missing his volley from 10-12 yards out and then the mistake from Whelan.  Could be very different.

Expect more time wasting from them.

We are too predictable and giving them a goal lead has allowed them to sit in and I expect them to do this for the rest of this game and the next.
They have enough cutting edge up front to pick us off.

I don't think we've been too bad.

Whelan turning into Gerrard has knocked the stuffing out of us. Hopefully we can regroup at half time.

Have to say Gayle has been superb in the lone striker role, miles more impact on the game than Tammy. Would have him here no issue next year.

Problem is we saw in the two games last year how important first goals are in play offs. Would get Kodjia on for Adomah at half time to give some unpredictablity in the final third otherwise this first leg will just pass us by.

Bus well and truly parked. We've done way more attacking than the stripey twats.

At both ends.

No they couldn't, if they score the first chance then the next ones don't happen as the whole game plays out differently from that point.

Poor stuff. We're not doing anything to disrupt their game plan and their tight organisation. Never gonna break it down as we are.

Our 4 wide players are a quartet of ******, but it's been like that for much of the season. Absolutely fuck all coming in from wide, Albion know they're shit and know they can afford to give them space rather than others so yes, they've done their homework.

Whelan fucked us there. We’ve handed them the chance to park the bus for 160 minutes and they’ve snapped it up.

While they are so deep Whelan isn’t serving any function at all, so get hourihane on, kodjia for adomah and hope for a moment of inspiration.
