Can't think of one for eight, but win on Friday and you can have "Pressed-up to the Nines".  You're welcome.

Dean Smith is putting together not so much a team as a system, where players can step in to replace those who are unavailable for whatever reason. Again, this is something that should be an absolute given at any club with pretentions towards success, yet which Villa have managed to avoid for so long.

This is very important and why some of us never bought into "the Manager needs another window", "wait until he has his own players" and "we have to break the three year cycle" etc when it was so obvious we didn't have the right manager. Whilst the players get the applause for their effort and performances, Dean Smith deserves massive credit for trying to build a sustainable system. It's not perfect but he's getting there. His half time team talks must be a bit special. Twice this week we've come out second half and really ripped into teams.

The half time talks of Bruce seemed to have the opposite effect.

Good read as ever.  I would add that the two who filled the central defence positions (and had never played together before) are also deserving of special mention.
