Credit to our fans
« on: April 09, 2019, 08:12:01 AM »
Looking back on this good run it can be pinpointed at half time in Stoke.
First half was poor and those of us longer in the tooth were resigned to ‘here we go again’ but as the players & staff came past to go into the tunnel on the corner there was a roar of support and chanting for Deano. You could see the look on their faces and second half they came out all guns blazing.  But for a worldy stop by Butland from a Mings header we would have won but we have won every game since.
Now when we go a goal down the support gets even louder and I am convinced that it is a big part in the success.
So, thank you and Allez,Allez,Allez.

I don’t want to personally take all of the credit for our upturn in form, however, since I decided our season was over and cancelled the Wembley hotel that I’d reserved for the play off final, we’ve been unbeaten.

Don’t mention it.

I had forgotten about Sweet Caroline. That was funny, Stoke started to play it but when we were singing and not their fans they turned it off.

I think you'll find I had something to do with our upturn! I had said publicly that I wasn't going to renew my season ticket, but that if we won the next six games I would think about it. The players obviously got wind of this and didn't want to lose my valuable support.

Nope it’s me, I take full credit . It was when I started doing single word comments on pre and post match threads.

It’s all down to me. I got a season ticket after the Albion game and, since then, we’ve got 19 points from 21. The players must like me and want me to have a premier league season ticket.

It’s clearly me managing to park in exact same spot every home game. I’ll need to set off extra early Saturday, might park up Friday night.

I’ve identified a key turning point in the season was my pregnant wife commenting I hadn’t spoken directly to our bump, so in response there was an important rite of passage of some chants gently sung into her belly; I’d also like to think the recent shift to ‘We’ve got McGinn” is associated with his 4 in 4.
