Very poor second half from us, until the 90th minute when they retreated completely. We should have scored twice just before we did, with Kodjia missing sitters.

Looking at it objectionally, which is obviously easier after a win, I think that was Jack and Mings were well below par today. I feel the momentum of our recent run got us that victory. All the same it feels fucking brilliant and they have both more than earned an off day!

I’m so disappointed for the players because they didn’t deserve that. We missed big opportunities but the way we played.. sometimes this game is cruel and that’s football

We’re going home disappointed but sometimes you don’t get what you deserve. The way we went at them, I couldn’t ask for anything more. It wasn’t our day

Fletcher has been brilliant since I walked into the building but the penalty was maybe the turning point but even after that we kept going and I couldn’t ask for more

Bannan has a hamstring and who knows. It seems a constant pain for us all. Substitution after substitution. We have to get to the bottom of that

The second half in particular, it was an onslaught but we couldn’t get the goal. But it’s not about how you play, it’s about the result and those key moments

We weren't at our best today, but we grinded out an amazing 3pts all the other results went our way and even better than expected...our playoff position is now in our own hands. Bristol have to come to Villa Park, and Derby have to go to Bristol.

The Championship table makes for pleasant viewing tonight. Rotherham away and Bristol at VP in the next week...may the promotion juggernaut go marching on, on, on!!!
