The very brilliant Richard Hawley is on the front cover of today's match programme.

No room for sentiment today

Not sure what you mean?

Just a joke. Chill

I'm chilled. I just wondered what you meant, that's all.

Looking for deep meaning in a throw away comment doesn’t seem very chilled

Got a feeling that El Ghazi will do something today although I’m not sure what. My money is on a worldy from distance.

Imperative we continue this run, 2-1 Villa win, we must keep the pressure on, 5th and 6th place are very competitive, you can easily see how easy it would be to slip up and drift away from the pack, come on Villa.

Hopefully drifting and slipups are a thing of the past with DS here now.
Given a fair rub of the green with injuries etc we will be in the play offs and I can't see anyone who will fancy their chances against us.

I wish I was feeling more confident about today. Despite knowing that if we play anywhere like we're capable of we'll smash this mob, I just can't overcome this nagging doubt I have that Bruce will somehow manage to throw a spanner in our works. Hopefully any such thoughts will be dispelled by a storming performance again, but I've gone for the creosote option of a score draw. So 1-1 it is.

If we play the 90 mins like we did in the first half of last week, it could be a hammering, but play like we did in the 2nd half, then it's going to be a struggle. Going 2 -1 Villa.

I think that after so many years of being a Villa fan, if we had a team full of players like Man City, were playing Carlisle United in the cup and were 7-0 up, I'd still be worried that we'd balls it up somehow.

I think that fear comes from being kicked in the bollocks so many times. One minute we are cruising along and things look rosy  then...BANG...it feels like your balls are in your stomach.

Whether it was Leicester away under Sherwood, the numerous late and late very fuck ups home and away versus Man U under every manager, the collapse at Spurs under MON, the late soul crushing goals during the TSM era along the various other humiliations, the recent spate of getting dumped out of cups vs shit opponents, it has been the life of a Villa fan for too many years now.
