I honestly thought the "ex Birmingham boss" excuse/narrative had been put to bed.

I was pleased when Bruce was appointed and was delighted when he left. Relieved is probably more accurate, it was clear things had run their course.

As for the article, "disgraceful treatment" is stretching things a wee bit, Mcleish and Houllier got far worse. Unless the journalist thinks the cabbage could have killed him? It makes sense, Bruce does look like a man severely allergic to vegetables.

For those that don't know, Alan Biggs is invariably the 5 Live reporter at Sheffield United and Wednesday home games. I look forward to his unbiased reports on Saturday, not !!!

It appears that lots of misconceptions exist about Villa fans. I, for the record:

Don't hate Newcastle
Don't hate Bruce
Didn't dislike TSM because he came from Small Heath, but because he was hopeless at managing (cont)
Don't live in Lichfield (and have never been there)

I just though I'd set the record straight like.

Bruce said as soon as he took the job that the club had to be promoted - and promoted in a short time frame.  So by his own yardstick, he failed.

Better use of his budget in that first window could have seen it happen in his first year.  It really should have happened in his second.  A decent start to the third would still have been enough to keep most Villa fans onside after the summer we had. But his transfer dealings were mostly bollocks and left us playing catch up.

Decent bloke, but the time was right for a parting of the ways.

He'll have less pressure at Sheffield Wednesday, so good luck to him.

Their players giving interviews that this is a must not lose game.

The Bruce fear is creeping into them.

Bruce has done there what he did here, when he first arrived. A dozen-ish games in under him, let's end their season like ours did back then.

Against Stoke they had 37% of the ball and 1 shot on target, 3 wide and 2 corners.

Doesn't augur well for them. We will dominate possession by epic proportions. Let's make it count.

They'll be tenacious I imagine, so we need to match that intensity off the ball with our effort and pressing and hopefully our quality and superior movement off it will reap benefits.

Wow. If there was a "Crock of shit articles" League table, Alan Biggs would be top of it, 15 points clear and a shoe-in for the title.

+1. Makes a Small Heath Alliance post look well-informed and balanced wrt the Villa.

Did you know, we have scored more first-half goals than any other Championship team this season, netting 3⃣4⃣ times before the break.

Same again Saturday. 🙏

Birmingham Mail reckons Chester, Elphick, Hutton and Lansbury are all back in training.  Don't know how far they are off being ready to play, but it will strengthen the squad at such a key time.
