If we can't beat Rotherham, Bolton and Millwall we don't deserve to go up. That leaves one win to get and maybe an extra point from the other three games.

This reminds me of the old England song. 'This time, more than any other time, this time'.  How many times have we been let down, how many false dawns?  Please, please do not let this be another one.

If we want to get promoted and play in the Premier League week in, week out we shouldn't really be writing off a home game against Norwich either!

3rd plays 6th (3rd Away 1st Leg)
4th plays 5th (4th Away 1st Leg)

Have the dates been announced yet? Interested to see if home game would be a Friday night or weekend game.

I don't think Dave is writing any game off.

I know he isn't.  I was simply reinforcing the fact that it's in our hands now and if we want to get promoted winning most of your games goes with the territory.

What’s the centre back situation for Saturday? Worrying lack of them on the bench tonight. What chance hause and Chester being available?

Pretty sure the last time we won 8 in a row was the last 8 games in 74/75, if we can match that next game we're all but in I reckon.

The question of this topic should read:

Does anyone else stand a chance?

We seem to be playing one good half in recent games. This could be due to a number of factors. If it goes on it will cost us points.

If we beat Bristol City, we only need 7 points from the last 4 games because....

- that's more points than anyone bar Boro, Derby and Bristol City can get AND
- Boro can only match our points but have much worse goal difference AND
- Derby and Brizzles game in hand over us... Is against each other So they can't Both get more points than us.

In reality, it may be a few points less than 76, but it always helps to know.

I don't see any signs that this run weighs on the players. I think Smith's doing a great job of keeping them taking one game at a time, what's done is done, the only game that matters is the next one. Despite a couple of iffy halves recently, tonight's first is possibly the first time arrogant complacency crept in, and he nipped that in the bud pronto.
