Got Derby finishing on 71 points. We should be well capable of getting that as our GD is miles better than what they have even after their 6-1 win.

Have to say that's outstanding from Bristol City to win back to back aways like that. In fairness they play decent football so as a neutral I'd rather have them in top 6 than a boring team like Boro.

Game at VP will be key to the run in.

Plenty to happen yet. We just need to look after our business. Another 4/5 wins and we'll 'be there or there abouts'. Have the daffodils sprouted? Let's see where we are when the blue bells hit full bloom.

yes Bristol gained 4 more points than I anticipated over last 2 games, so my revised end of season has Bristol finishing 5th on 75, boro 6th on 75 (maybe too enthusiastic on current form ), derby 7th on 73 and ourselves 8th on 72

Next to no chance of Boro getting 75. Who the hell do you have them beating Daz?! I can see them losing at Forest, 0-0 v Stoke and also losing at Swansea from a quick glance of what they've got left. Scored 2 goals in their last six games.

Derby got a better chance but 5 of their last 8 are away and they haven't won an away game since December 29th so issues there.

Bristol have pulled those 2 wins out of nowhere. 7 teams chasing the last 2 playoff spots really. Can't afford to lose v Sheff Wed anyway.

We can't be afford to be dropping points at this stage of the season. This weekends fixtures that matter:

Bristol vs Wigan
Swansea vs Boro
Sheff Weds vs Villa
Rotherham vs Forest
Preston vs Sheff Utd
Brentford vs Derby

If we do our job and get the 3pts on Saturday then I can see the chasing pack shrinking to 5 teams with Sheff Weds and Preston dropping 6/7pts behind respectively. Expect Bristol and Forest to get wins, but Boro and Derby both have tricky away fixtures.

It's always the way at times like this, it's hard to not see your peers as world beaters all of a sudden! Bet we're all guilty of it to a certain extent.

Boro...draw away to swans, win away at Bolton, win at home to hull , win at home to stoke, draw at home to forest, win at home to reading, win away at Rotherham.
I think their fixture difficulty is easier than their form and could still be realistic for 75 pts

And this miraculous form comes from where for Boro?

They've lost 5 on the spin, don't score goals, they're not missing key players and have Pulis in charge.

I've said since the start of the season we would make the play offs and I'm sticking to that the form we are in at the moment I'm feeling very confident that we will go one step further than last season we have players in form who have played less than our rivals and that's got to be an advantage for us.

It's Bristol City, not Bristol. Maybe i should put this in the Things That Annoy Me thread but it really does annoy me when people call them Bristol.
