Not sure that’s right, James Collins scored there under O’Neill

Theres my fantastic stat gone. Last time I went there aswell so I really should have remembered that one.

His shot went in off Ridgewell though, so you can still say Phillips' goal was the last time we scored there whereby the last touch wasn't from somebody who came through our academy.

So my stat technically still stands, I just need to word it slightly different, hurrah!

Apart from the bit about ‘under O’Neill’.

Great post Damien. I was ten when I went to my first derby and it was a horrible, hostile experience, so I'm really pleased your boy had a day to remember for lots of good reasons. You must both be ecstatic.

racism aswell, 40 seconds in.

Done themselves proud today that club have.

That shirley must've been edited by a bitter Villa supporter. Gary Monk said their fans have been magnificent - bar the "one idiot" yesterday...  ::)
That racism clip ought to be sent to the EFL as well ...

To be fair, you're on to something. In all the derbies since 02/03:

Gabby x5?
Gardner
Grealish x2
Ridgewell OG
Cahill
Barry

That does seem disproportionately high

It was the usual scrappy derby at their place. With the usual result. I will have to pen something for the mag though because their obsession with us is getting beyond silly. At what point are they going to actually be taken to task for the behaviour of the morons that whip themselves into such a fervour for games with us?

Whether it was the twat goading Enckleman, constant coin throwing, flares fired into the away end, it being like Agincourt behind the wall as we are penned in for hours yet again, the military operation at Villa Park that is massively inconvenient to home supporters, running people over because they are sulking about losing, top down deliberate pandering to that hatred to get the idiots onside from board/managers/players, to our players being assaulted by their supporters and match day staff, of nothing being off limits in terms of human decency on social media right down to the fucking peasants starting a go fund me campaign for their new hero.

I am genuinely disturbed at how many otherwise probably reasonable people turn into raving loons just because they are playing us or share a city with us. It is unhealthy.

Like having a stalker that you hope the restraining order works on but who likely has a shrine to you in their bedroom and will one day try to stab you to death if they can get close enough.

They are fucking weird. I was equally disgusted by how many kids can be seen in stills of that fat fuck who whacked Grealish being taken away in their crowd who were grinning, cheering and clapping. What fucking hope is there for them, being brought up to hate like that?

The FA and EFL need to get their act together and hand out the most extreme punishments possible because this bullshit won't stop until they do.

I shouldn't have to fear for the safety of my sons and I going to a game but wouldn't countenance taking them to a game with that lot.

It is like some odd death cult out of Waco. Like the Westboro Baptist Church. Like kamikaze pilots who are so bought into the myth of the Emperor they will happily top themselves. And all over a game of football.

Fucking mentally deficient tramps.

Excellent post, got into a heated debate at work with a blues fan, who didn’t go! I mentioned all of this and how they have a sizeable section who exist to hate us. He thought Monk being pictured with the sotv flag as funny, I mean he’s the manager, he should be above that, it runs very deep over there

I'm coming round to the idea that a large number of them have a personality/mental disorder. They'll never change it's who and what they are, and most importantly they don't want to change because it's their badge of honour and they wear it with a twisted pride. They are fucked in the head.

Hate to link to their forum again but they really live in a different world don't they?

https://www.that lot.com/read.php?1,2649141

"Whole of the nation despises us." Yes today and maybe tomorrow and then you'll go back to being an irrelveance.

"We are no Fulham, Reading or v***a, never have been, never will be. Never want to be. I even hate us. It’s beautiful, our rough, messed up, radio rental rollercoaster club is pure entertainment. No other club comes close."

You're a club f***ed over by a succession of awful owners....so yes just like most clubs in this country nowadays.

"Seriously, who wouldn't want to support the blues. It's marvellous.
The level of entertainment at this club is second to none.
Up the fecking blues."

They've been in this division since 2011. No promotions or relegations, indeed they've narrowly stayed up in 3 of the last 5 seasons. All stuff that was happening to us in the premier league and they found incredibly boring.

Don't really want to keep linking but when you read the stuff you do see the warped vision of how a section of their fanbase views the world.

Didn't Garry Thompson and Gary Shaw both score in this fixture more recently than any Brummie Blose player, too? Maybe Walters and perhaps Daley in the League Cup, too?

Just who is the last Brummie to score for them in the derby, then?

David Davis was born in Smethwick, depends if we count that as we're counting Solihull. If we count it then 2016.
