Trillion trophy stadium... however much I try I can't help but smile every time I read that.  It's so unashamedly naff.

Ha! There was a TV report today after the game where they filmed with the camera pointing at the main stand. I couldn't help but wish the journalist stand to the side just so that the world could laugh at the 'Trillion Trophy Stadium' rather than the 'Trillion Stadium' lettering on view.

I think all Aston Villa players should be Wesleyan churchgoers.  It all started to fall apart when we began to play matches on Good Fridays.  Might have a few Methodists in the stiffs.

I reckon McCormack wouldn't say no to a bit of the Meth.

Devastating that none of us can have a celebratory drink in any of the pubs in the City Centre tonight either.

Only just seen the footage, absolutely flabbergasted but at the same time not shocked either. They're absolutely rotten to the core as a club, have never really stood for anything other than resentment and pure envy. It's just what they've become over time. All this KRO and peaky blinders shite, I'd rather follow an actual football club than a faux working class fashion statement you can buy. Then again Villa did invent the league, by contrast there isn't a hell of a lot about being a bluenose that has much to do with football - a factory for plastic gangsters.

A mate of mine across the Nullarbor in Perth works with a Bluenose and former Zulu. I've never even met this bloke, dunno his name but somehow he found out his colleague has a Villa supporting mate in me. When we went down a few years back, he requested to have a photo sent to me with the two finger salute. It gave me the shits at first but over the years I've grown to find such churlish levels of pettiness quite amusing.

Anyhow, this is a post match thread. Well done Jack, well done all. Order is restored or should that be remains in tact. Crack on Villa, get promoted,  4-6 points this week please.

I've been in town all evening although I did see a punch up on the Briar Rose and unsure if good all related but a similar punch from behind.

Only because it will take you couple of hours to get to the City centre from out there in the shires.

And I usually give the house staff Sunday evenings off, so no chance of a lift.

first time post on an actual game on this forum so be easy with me -lol

watched it on sky and has a neutral the first word i would describe it as was frantic , a typical derby game . obviously the numpty that went onto the pitch takes centre stage and hope he gets put down for a long time but I think you just edged it although they had a good shout for a penalty

was fearing the worse when i saw Taylor in the starting line up as the hordes on here gave me the general impression that he's been pants for you lot this year so was refreshing to see him play well going forward and looked solid defending .

Hopefully will be named in the Wale squad for our game against Slovakia in 2 weeks time

i guess most are on the razz celebrating tonight !

The picture says it all...Passion, desire and class. You stood up and responded in the right manner! Proud of you, Jacko 💪🏼⚽️👊🏼@JackGrealish1 @AVFCOfficial 🦁#UTV #avfc

Great but I wish Taylor would  look a bit more confident and happy celebrating a goal.

Sometimes Twitter just comes up with a gem.

Happy to say I am never following this club again! Goodbye Birmingham city you've ruined my life for the last 17 years but no more!!! Hahaha say goodbye to your fans.

Positives

I felt we defended very well. Mings dominates, but Hause didn't look out of place.

Jack oozes class, both in his immediate reaction and the goal.

We should have had a few more, especially first half.

McGinn showed his class. He just moves the game on so much quicker and has boundless energy.

The away was all limbs when the goal when in. Scenes as the kids would say.

The escort was a bit annoying, stop/start around the back.of beyond, but it beat waiting on a car park for an hour. An improvement.

Negatives

A bit wasteful at times and too deep for the majority of the first half.

Elmo was a culprit and Adomah poor too. A couple of changes needed for Forest.

Lots of aggro today. Trouble by the Forge, trouble at the away end, a moron on the pitch. When they whip themselves up into such a pre-game frenzy it's not surprising this happens.

Cheers, always welcome your posts on here. Really hope you stay up to prove the naysayers wrong and I quite like Colin tbh. Football aside, if Ireland happen to lose to Wales next week I think I'll cope. ;)
