great win,
loved the way all that unfolded although to nervous to watch much at the end

Mings - MOTM
Grealish - the King of Birmingham

If you decide to wander over to the Small Heath Alliance forum and rather surprisingly find that to a man they are embarrassed by the incident and not condoning it at all you have to take into account that apparently all posts celebrating the assault on Grealish have been removed by those who run the site.

Nice to get the moral victory as well as the actual victory today.

They must be fucking gutted that they can't even claim the moral victory this time.

Complete morons most of BCFC fans! A disgrace. A lot of them seem proud that the moron whacked Jack. Justice was done in the end - good over evil!

Hijacking the name of the city is not moral high ground.  Being proud of origins in an honest, hardworking place like Small Heath is the high ground.

A lot has been said about Grealish. And the assault.

But can I just offer credit to the defence? 2 clean sheets in 2 games with a slightly makeshift defence today?

Mings has been a great signing. Hause, despite a couple of gasp moments today, looked composed. Steer wasn’t really troubled.

Massive improvement over the last 2 games defensively.

A number played well but Mings, McGinn and Grealish were the stand-outs. Nice feeling to be proud of the club again. 😁

Up the Fucking Villa.

Mings looks pure class. Proper leader at the back.

Sky highlights

Grealish involved in all our positive moments.

Defending at end an absolute shit show mind you, Taylor playing their guy onside in the lead up to the first chance, El Ghazi failing to track Gardner for that corner. Lucky to get away with it. Penalty would have been very soft but Hause shouldn't have had his hands near an already falling Adams. Adams looked a quality forward today, playing in front of their very weak midfield, he was dangerous throughout.

Must say I like Steer in goal. Nothing skittish about him unlike the other clowns we have had in goal this season. Elmo doing well at right back since coming back in. Fair play to Hause coming in at right centre back but he didn't look comfortable there at times. We need Chester or Axel back asap.

The three points today was all that really mattered but nothing can compete with seeing the Villa fans celebrating a winning goal at the Sty scored by Villa supporting local lad. Gabby, Gary Gardner and now Jack. Wonderful. Oh and turncoat Craig Gardner missing a couple of sitters added to the pleasure today.

Very happy too that the Captain's armband was passed onto Ming. Whichever division we're in next season, I hope we can sign him in the summer. Outstanding performance on so many levels today.

That was a very mature derby performance. You could see the way they were going to play from 160 seconds in and Kieftenbeld picked up that yellow. Corners and free kicks from them, towering defence from us. We have the quality they just don't.

I have seen some posts from noses saying that they are so sick of us they actually hope we "piss off and get promoted" so they don't have to play us next season. Which also tells you something about their lack of confidence in getting promotion themselves.

Always have been and always will be utter pond life which has only been further evidenced this afternoon. The majority of their fan base will wear it as a badge of honour too like the utter mongs they are. I so grateful to my old man bringing up this way, and yeah, you know what, it’s tough at the moment but I fucking love my club for being everything those wankers aren’t.

Fucking amen brother.

Double fucking amen brothers.
