Perhaps the fan was just trying to touch Jack's lovely hair and slipped.

Regarding the match itself, too many of our players haven't imposed themselves on it and one or two of those look as if they don't want to.  Still, we've created the better chances and should be at least 1-0 up.  I expect us to go on and win this.

Regarding the incident, one of the most disgraceful things I've ever seen while watching the Villa and it could quite easily have been so much worse.  Now the rest of the country - and those watching overseas - will know what we've known all along.

Wouldn't be surprised if their fans carry on their hate filled behaviour after the game. Hope all our support get home safely.

They could win 5-0 and still have a -7 point result on the day.

I just don’t understand the lax reaction from the match officials.
Yes i think they are intimidated by it, as I said they had to pull the players off.

In their defence, ho wouldn't be intimidated?  But I agree, I wouldn't have complained had they ended the game there and then.

This really is a new low and a new precedent has been set, one that needs to receive the biggest, heaviest punishment available on all counts.
Agree, and let’s face it, this is a rare event, a player being attacked by a fan.

Blose fans still booing Jack, do they think its his fault that he was cowardly attacked from behind?

The guy will clearly be advised to plead guilty by his brief.

Have we made any subs at half time? I wanted McGinn on for El Ghazi, who just wasn't in the game in the first half.

I imagine the players aren’t feeling urgent right now other than to get out of there safely

Examples should be set here, we're seeing all kinds of horrendous stuff happening on the streets of this country every day now, a football game like this is a showpiece event, if we can't show certain standards and civilised behaviour on such occasions as this, then we are truly lost as a society, fact is this will be shown all over the world, Birmingham City are just as responsible for idiot, there fan, as the person himself is, at times when people are getting randomly killed on the streets, this has to be stamped on to show intent, Blues should be kicked out of this division as punishment.
