About 2:40 into the Sky highlights - Carroll certainly has an eye for a pass.

Encouraging
Definitely. In the right set-up he will be very influential, I think.

What a refreshing change, not being a goal or two down at home.

A fun and relaxing afternoon, keep it up Villa!

I have been critical of both before but I thought Hourihane and Whelan were fantastic yesterday. So you are Dean Smith, do you accommodate SJM next week or leave the team unchanged? The whole team looked balanced and everyone in the right positions, the work ethic and high press were evident- all boxes ticked for me.
Hey, Jez: I think McGinn should come off the bench next week rather than start.

He has been trying SJM at left back in training - must be better than Taylor if Elfick is out.

I missed Jack's goal. I went for a piss and as I was washing my hands, I noticed in the sink next to me someone had stuffed it with toilet paper and left the tap running  and broken it so it couldn't be turned off so i spent a few seconds trying to turn it off as it was starting to fill up. Why are people such fucking moronic twats?

Weirdest thing yesterday, after our 2nd goal the scoreboard showed us at 4-0 momentarily. A nice glimpse into the near future or was it the future being played out in real time?

it then instantly went to 3-0. And then 2-0. And after the first goal it Read Villa 0 Derby 1.

I disagree with those who are saying SJM should be on the bench, we need a player of his quality next week. The question is, who does he replace..

Presumably cctv can't be placed in public bathrooms for personal privacy reasons but so much illegal stuff goes on there in broad daylight at football grounds from charlie-snorting to vandalism.

Last week we had an awful midfield. Now, we're looking at having the likes of McGinn and Carroll on our bench next week.

Hopefully hitting form again just in time for Blues and a late push for the play-offs.  They are by no means out of reach.   If I have a concern it's that yesterday does make it look as if we are massively over reliant on one player.  In the longer term Smith will need a system that works regardless of the the availability of individuals, but hopefully that will come with getting more players in who can do what he wants them to.

Lots of empty seats for Jack’s goal. Don’t go for that early half time pint kids.

One of my many stupid habits is thinking jewellery I wear influences results. Tonight I've taken a photograph of the ring, earrings and watch I wore today to remind me to wear them next week.
Brilliant however do you remember the wearing sequence as I think that could be a factor as well?😊
