A dismal, wretched first half performance yet we still had the best chance.

It must get better Shirley?

Not very good.

Defence do look better, but Hause looks more like a centre back than a left back. Would consider swapping him and Mings.

Midfield is shockingly poor, and the Wingers are lazy.

Still, we are not losing and despite dominating Brentford have not really looked like scoring. Figers crossed we have a better second half.

we settled abit and looked like some were trying to press , but they have to do it together

Yes to be fair. We've created the only decent opportunity of the game.

But with McGinn's decision making way off, our midfield slow off the ball, deep, slow to move the ball on and the every anonymous Hourihane and Adomah, it's more by luck than design.

Hause is doing his very best so far of eliminating himself from any chance of a permanent move.

Isn't he a CB though? Would like to see him play some games there before totally writing him off. Another 5 games and play offs will be out of reach so we will have dead games to do this.

He was meant to be able to do both with CB being his primary position. He can't bloody control a football, has trouble with balance and is being caught out of position. I get that there might be some improvement on those fronts at CB but the drop off at LB shouldn't be that steep.

Utter garbage...can't wait for our good ten minutes* in the second half.

*we used to have a good half, now due to inflation it's only ten minutes.

So, what's everyone doing for snacks? Anyone got any good biscuits?

Hobnobs?

Lovely. I've got penguin bars. Serious stuff.

I thnk Brentford are suspect at the back if you attack them , but that involves us pasing to each other up the field

Adomah has gone around a year without scoring,Green has scored 5 for Pompey and one for us in about 12 games so far this year so of course Smith selects Adomah .

Hourihane has to be the most pointless player I’ve ever seen.

The polar opposite of Westwood who was the most 'pointing' player I've ever seen.
