Not very good.

Defence do look better, but Hause looks more like a centre back than a left back. Would consider swapping him and Mings.

Midfield is shockingly poor, and the Wingers are lazy.

Still, we are not losing and despite dominating Brentford have not really looked like scoring. Figers crossed we have a better second half.

Hourihane and Adomah mastering that predator cloaking technology. I can't see either of them, it's very impressive.
👏👏👏👏

The only good thing about that half is that we somehow didn’t concede. What will he do now?

Somehow doesn't come into it. These are as bad as us. Desperately poor game.

We have got too many slow, unmotivated players.  We are a million miles off play off standard.

Hause is doing his very best so far of eliminating himself from any chance of a permanent move.

Isn't he a CB though? Would like to see him play some games there before totally writing him off. Another 5 games and play offs will be out of reach so we will have dead games to do this.

Too many jogging around rather some intensity.
Twice on counters I saw Albert and Conor barely breaking forward to join attack
Last season Adomah would have buried it.
I kinda wish Brentford scored only coz it may have kicked villa up the backside to get going

Takes Hutton to drive forward every so often as no one getting going

Hourihane ducking a 50/50? Well, I’ve seen everything now.
I think you've nailed the problem with Hologram with that comment. He's a total bottler. Runs around looking interested while managing to avoid anything resembling a physical challenge.f he didn't take all the free kicks and corners you wouldn't know he was playing. He's the complete opposite of John McGinn

As bad a half as I've seen all season. Where is the Smith brand of football? Aimless punts to a lone forward? Jockeying wank which concedes vast areas of the pitch

The Hutton Whelan throw in routine summed us up entirely.

Spot on. No real effort.
