Oh and for ‘you need your own players’ see one ole Gunnar solsjaer - under the belt I know but still..
You taking the piss? Look at his squad? Look at the players ffs, then look at ours.

I think the concept of it all being relative is important here.

If only we had sacked Ron Saunders when we were mid-table in Division Two, half way through his first season at Villa Park, who knows what we might have gone on to achieve.

And look at the quality at his disposal!
Well in comparison you can argue we have a pretty good squad

No we don't.  Taylor, Hutton, Bjarnasson, Whelan, Jedinak, a disinterested Kodjia, Hourihane, Richards, Nyland.   I'm sure there are one or two more. Ole couldn't fail as United needed positivity and they got it with him telling them to go out and express themselves.  Smith inherited a bag of second division shit and is trying to make it work.

No chance, we’re not the equivalent of Utd are we? RDM and Bruce spent a lot of money. That does not mean fuck all. Look at Everton, Utd have a very very good squad with world class players.

Their squad is miles behind that of the other teams in the top 6.  Is ours worse than the 8 teams above us?  Should we be getting played off the park by teams like Wigan?

I didn’t spell it out but maybe I should have - a team of supposed talent not producing results deemed appropriate for their talent and worth (I know all debatable) but with marked improvement with the same people. It could be Accrington Stanley (who are they)  but the point stands. A relative newcomer to management has made a team better consistently.

We’re a mish mash of players though. At least The Special One had assembled a squad of players in the positions required. How long has Hutton been here? How long have we been trying to find a centre half, we have Taylor. We’ve had no spine what so ever. Whelan is the best by far at our club in that role.
We look shit so agree, I just have a bit of faith in the road ahead.

Over his first five or six games yes, as Dean Smith did.

That relative newcomer has been managing since 2008.

I don’t want him out, I want him to succeed. That doesn’t mean promotion this season, but I want to see performances that make me believe we will be promoted next year.

Smith out is a daft call but he definitely needs to get a grip.  There hasn't really been any overall improvement.
