Smith isn't buying the players.

What is this 'buying of players' of which you speak?

Total wank.   I thought Smith would use our “better “ squad to rule this league.   It’s an appsolute disgrace.

I have to agree that I don't think Smith is doing a good job. I'm not at the stage of calling for his head but we've had such an abrupt drop off and no tangible positive upturn that he has to be questioning the way he's approaching this.

It pains me to say it but we literally need to form a new non-loser club. I think the rot is too deep. An old wizened MD once told me - what’s the similarity between a fish and a company? They rot from the head first.

Why did I bother to get up at 3.45am to watch this shite...

Other than McGinn, I really can’t see any positives.  Depressing.

It has to be said the standard of play these last 2 months under Smith is worse than it ever was under Bruce.

Absolutely baffling considering we looked liked world beaters up until injury time at Albion.

Unless Whelan is coming on to save someone else's legs then I cannot see any point to that.
He can’t be any worse than Jedinak who was truly shocking.

His last game for us tonight I suspect.

To think Bruce went into the season with him as first choice centre back 🤨

but why has Smith picked him? probably not fit and won't be here in 4 months. looks like the pressure has got to him now bringing Whelan on.

there's something seriously wrong with Villa Park. players and managers just crumble here

I’ve said it a million times before but you can call Sheffield United average but you don’t need to have a group of star individuals to do well in this league.  Just have eleven players who know theirs and each other’s jobs, have great work ethic and team spirit and it will get you a long way.

I've been doing the same thing for pretty much 10 years mate.

Largely unrewarding.

If I was in Singapore i'd be up at 3.45am but it wouldn't' be watching this crap, not that i've ever been to Singapore but it sounds very exotic.
