It's not about grit and determination, it's about pace and positioning, they're playing at a high tempo and our midfield and defence are all over the place trying to stay with the runners. It's resulting in us being 8-9 men behind the ball and they just camping out in our half.

Smith needs to start looking at how to get more energy into the midfield with the players he has.

He’s just picked Jedinak. Clueless.

Who else has he got to pick? They're all shit.

He's just had a transfer window, and his midfield pick was some 12 year old nobody from Swansea who's been terrible for the last two years, and who the Swans fans were immensely pleased to see the back of.

That's the thing, Whelan has had plenty of chances and he slows the play down far too much, Thor has had a chance and looks lost. Maybe Carroll will be better but he's ill today.

it’s not grit and passion we need just some players who can control a football and pass it to someone on their own side

Wilder has done such a good job there. Simple system, players all bought for the system. They know what they are doing at all times and play to their strengths. We look like we haven't got a fucking clue.

Should have gone for him and not Smith.

You are unfairly comparing a manager who has been in his job for three years to one who has been in his job for a little over three months.

McGinn is fucking class.  Utterly wasted in a dire team like this.

This is absolute garbage.  Utter tripe.

I (still) cannot see what this tea is set up to do.  Take McGinn out and we're fucking Wigan presently.

I’d play anyone over Hourihane. We’re 1-0 down because of him. In our current predicament, I’d settle for the God of Thunder
