Jack replacement?

The Jacks need a replacement now for sure.

He痴 better than Fer and Hayden, this is a good signing. Not quite the midfielder we need perhaps.

Can't agree I'm afraid.  He's small and easily brushed off the ball.  I think we've got enough weak midfielders of our own. Not the player we need at all.  Had a difficult time at Swansea, and hasn't played since October.  Looks like a Bruce type signing, where anybody at all is judged to be better than no signing.

Worryingly the swansea fans seem happy about this.

They will be, he's crap.

It's a fair point, but then Paul McShane could also boast that and he's one of the worst footballers I've ever seen.

Says loan on the BBC so I guess it's just a case of getting an extra body in with no obligation.

Now this makes sense in terms of players Smith likes . A smith type midfielder. Something I been talking about and saying
Unfortunately doesn't bring much balance to squad unless some crazy idea to  convert him to left back .

He's  a left footer,  a footballer but light weight.
Has some footy intelligence a very Smith type deep lying but hasn't got any bite like Hayden or Fer.

Underwhelming in as much as he's nothing exciting but fits in as a ball playing midfielder

He's a lightweight for those who wanted a bit of muscle in the middle.

However he is someone who is capable of playing Smith football and has better abilities than a Hayden on the ball .
Off the ball has energy .
Just having a bit of confidence is key. Never saw him as some one who imposes himself but good luck to him.

Hasn't got a magic left foot shot but has a decent enough passing range and movement .

Tackling hit or miss.
Level of Hourihane on that front but has a bit more energy!

I think Westwood might have actually been decent under Smith. Not brilliant, but perfectly adequate. Carroll would seem to be a player who can do the simple things but do so at a greater pace than Whelan or Jedinak. It should free up McGinn to get forward even more often and further add to our goal threat along with Super Jack.
