Feels like he is regaining full fitness now , probably at about 90-95% .
Not only is he the best CB at the club but he's the leader and organiser that we have been missing . Konsa all of a sudden has his wingman . Disasi comes in and is doing his job. The whole backline benefits from this leadership .

This Villa team has some really likeable human beings in it and Tyrone Mings leads that group.

He’s not club captain though. Worst of many awful decisions from Gerrard.

Bad decision initially for the wrong reasons. However it was never reversed by Emery even before Mings injury so he must prefer McGinn being the de-facto communicator.

Great management from Emery to not destabilise things any further . Mings is the better captain but it doesn't matter in reality , McGinn is also a modern day villa legend and leader.

Yeah, it doesn't matter. It's in Mings' nature to do it anyway (without trending on toes I'm sure).

The exact sort of match he excels in. Love him. Only Disasi beats him to MOTM.

I think there's a group of leaders, which is what you need.

Pinched from Twitter, which being the gospel of truth that it is, I can only assume this is factually correct.

Tyrone Mings starting under Emery in the league.

Games 33
Wins 20
Draws 7
Loses 6
Points 67
Points per Game 2.03
Clean Sheets 11

Unbeaten in the last 8, he has started

He has had the toughest journey through to where he is now.
2 awful knee injuries, umpteen other injuries.

And yet, on Tuesday and last night, he was throwing his body into every block, challenge, tackle and clearance like a youngster.

The bloke is not only the best defender at the club, he is also utterly fearless.

I wonder if we'll see more of the highline now Ty and Ezri are back together?

Probably not as Ty never played it anyway as he was injured as it was being brought in.

Ginny's leadership may not be as obvious but he is great at integrating new players and they all smile when they talk about him. Man's a legend.
