Brilliant news!

I can now go off on my holiday tomorrow with a clear mind.

Told ya it would be sorted!

You did.  And it was!

That’s hopefully the left side of the centre of defence sorted for a good while.

According to sky £20m upfront which could rise to £25 with add ons. Happy with that.

£18m and loads of bits bolted on. More than we agreed at the start of the summer but so be it.
What happened - did they agree a deal then pull out of it once they realised how much we wanted him?

No. They had us on hold essentially whilst they were waiting on Spurs to offer something appropriate for Ake. That still isn't resolved and we wanted him in for the pre season games so they charged us a premium for it.

Cheers. That sounds pretty fair on both sides. I really like the fact that we didn’t muck around and have him miss preseason to save a few quid which seems to have been an option.

Brighton, my arse. Only one place he was interested in going. Though the stuff about his missus banning him was amusing. He would leave her and just bring his dog for company if it came to it!

Really glad he is back. Now for 3 or 4 more and get this season started. I am worried I am over confident though. I have taken some hefty bets from the Wolves side of my family!

They will probably sell the sod to Man Citeh tomorrow!

Deal wise it seems to make sense to everyone so very glad it is done. It is worth the extra few quid to retain a leader and some of last years spine.

Let other people whine on about the cost. This was the big one for us to get done this summer so fuck the cost.

There was a moment in the Play Off final when Huddlestone clattered Jack (the red mist was descending), Mings waded in and sorted Huddlestone and the situation, nobody was going to argue.
On field leadership.

Welcome Tyrone - do your best.

Our most expensive defender ever by some way then. Wonder who’s next? Curtis Davies?

There was also that marvellous moment at Leeds when it kicked off and he wandered away from the melee with a player of theirs under each armpit once he had ensured nobody from our side was going to whack anybody.

Made up he's signed, not just as a player on the pitch of which he was excellent, but as a leader on and off the pitch and his influence on the other players.£20 million too much?Is it fuck not in the current climate, I reckon he will end up being a bargain.

Delighted he's back. Wife has 'politely' requested that I stop saying "God I just fucking love... Mings" about the house this evening. I made her watch the interview and all.
