the proof will be in the pudding

all those thinking we've paid a bit to much for him and those thinking we have bagged ourselves a bargain will find out who's right over the next season or so

for me if we have paid 20-25m for him today and we were offered 35m for him tomorrow without kicking a ball i'd still tell them to fuck off
he is our Van Dijk he transformed us at the back last season, and like i said we'll find out soon enough if we've paid to much but i think he's a prem player all day long and will prove to be so in the coming seasons for us

Isn’t the proof of the pudding in the eating rather than the pudding itself?

I think we should get this cleared up once and for all.

Definitely in the eating. Otherwise it doesn’t make any sense

If Tyrone keeps going north at his present rate he will be on the Shetland Isles soon.

It's a bit like that other saying, "you can't have your cake and eat it". We moderns say it the wrong way around - it's "you can't eat your cake and have it".

A Buddhist teacher I used to live with asked what’s wrong with having two cakes?

Rather like the chant that Villareport shared on twitter:

Baby, don't worry about a thing.
Cos Villa's centre back is Tyrone Mings.
