Is Jeets ok? No overs from him so far?

After taking three early wickets the Bears need to break this partnership Somerset 82-3.

Could be a close finish.

Christ! Worcestershire are going to finish bottom.  Role out the excuses again today after yet another shambolic batting collapse.  Northants manage to get 370 on the same pitch we struggle to get to 200 on. Hopeless.

Batting has been shambolic in red ball for most of the summer....looks like Mo will be back for rest of summer but no good if no one else in top 6 able to hold a bat

Getting tight at Edgbaston and I make Somerset slight favourites. At tea they need 43 runs and we need 5 wickets.

Notts have lost heavily though which is a bonus.

Just not good enough and only Notts abysmal form will save us from relegation.

Possibly going against the grain here but personally I’d replace Jeets next season with a top overseas batsman.

Main problem for the Bears this season has been an awful injury list. They've barely put the same team out for consecutive matches. I think they've done ok all things considered.

8 wicket win for Glos. I thought that the match was heading for a draw but Derby declares and Glos made 263in 47 overs for the victory.

Rutherford in for Ferguson for the final three games, might help a bit!  Dreadful season so far.

Yep, no team in this could be competitive with 5 bowlers missing in a big chunk of the games

The Pears wash out last night gives them a Blast quarter final place and means that the Bears are out.

In other county news Haseeb Hameed is being heavily linked with the Pears. Apparently his alarming loss of form is in a large part due to the influence of his father. He listens to his father more than he does his coaches. Maybe a change of scenery will help but he needs to listen to the professional coaches rather than his dad. It’s a hell of a gamble for any county that signs him though.
