I'd be happy with a point today - given how pathetic we've been of late. The Tigers must be licking there lips (sorry) at the prospect of playing our rabble, so I hope to God DS puts rockets up backsides today & his charges respond in a positive stylee. His selection 'choices' must be akin to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, but I hope he shows some bravery & decides to reshuffle his shitty pack. More of the same nonsense will surely lead to another dicking & more ire from the stands, so 'fingers crossed for yet another one of those crazy days of Chumpionship football.

I'll go for an optimistic 1-1.

Marvellous.

He said that they've responded well in training, but then he said that after the FA Cup debacle.  We'll see I guess, but I can't see us getting out of this slump for a while yet.

You're right unfortunately Risso.

Hutton for Taylor, but Hourihane at the base and maybe McGinn as the only other, with Davis as a 442. Slightly deeper than ordinary to drag a midfielder back and allow territory? Two out and out wingers pressed higher to stop our full backs being pinned back?

I'd go

It must be Lovre, Lovre Lovre.
Elmo Chester Elphick Hutton
Hourihane McGinn
Kodjia Tammy Albert
Davis

Something like that.

We need to keep the ball and keep it much higher up and Davis is the only idea I have for doing that at the moment.

We can't defend at all, so we need to go back to trying to win games 4-2.

My heart sinks when I see Whelan, Bjarnason or Taylor starting. Trouble is, the squad is so unbalanced it’s hard to leave them all out.

I can't either, but I know we all live in hope of some (cough) 'green shoots of recovery' becoming visible. How times have changed from that remarkable night in Derby...

Very harsh to include Adomah, who works his nuts off and has produced many assists and goals and Chester who was player of the season for us with clowns like Lansbury and Hogan.

This is correct. Things went wrong when Smith tried to keep clean sheets. We just do not have any capable defenders.

Absolutely. Unfortunately I have a feeling that our lot will see Davis as a convenient excuse to lump balls aimlessly forward at every opportunity.  ::)

Haha. I'd add Hourihane and Elmohamady to that list.

Very harsh on Chester who has been playing through an injury of late. Adomah has been a decent signing for us as well.

Lansburys has been awful for us since we signed him but I actually wish he was fit today.

I think it’s a little unfair to say he’s been awful. He’s been extremely mediocre, and certainly not the player he was at Forest, but I think there have been a few moments of relative usefulness. As you say, I’d cebrtainly take a fully fit Lansbury in our side at the moment.
