Don't understand selecting McGinn and Whelan today. Both need resting and we have two obvious experienced options on the bench.

Agree Smith particularly referred to Connor and mcginn both being tiered and still plays the one that puts the most miles in. Can only be tactical guess against they’re 11

Good test for ohare and hogan. Do well and they're genuine contenders to start next week. But will be tough. Nrither ha started this season

He got a semi-decent punch on the initial corner but when the second ball came in it seemed to bounce off him and fall to the Fulham player.

Hogan should have scored. I suppose the silver lining is that he's getting into the right positions. Sounds very quiet at Villa Park. Feel like all that early enthusiasm of a new manager and the "swagger" as he put it has all but gone.
