Aston Villa v QPR Pre Match Thread
« on: December 30, 2018, 04:52:12 PM »
Let’s see what 2019 has in store for us. We keep saying it but we need to start a run. I’m going 2-1 Villa. Conor and Tammy.

I'm not one for being negative but not feeling confident at all about this one with all the injuries and lack of options in defence, midfield...and now goalkeeper.

1-2.

Steer

Hutton
Elphick
Chester
Bree

Hourihane

McGinn
BB

Kodjia
Tammy
Albert

Wingers need rotating out and we need Thor in midfield as he moves the ball on quicker and has the legs to press.

I fancy us to play a much higher line and dominate the ball again. QPR won't get away with it again.

Villa to click without the elderly one.

3-1 Villa.

Happy 2019 brothers.

I was unlucky enough to see OPR fuck us over big time just when we needed a win most  last season. Please win, Villa.

Twitter-verse is in overdrive today...

So, with Dean and Jack embroiled in a non-injury Spurs cover up, Tammy going back to Chelsea , Nyland out for the season, and everything apparently turning to shit....

I'd say 0-3.

Not confident at all about this

Agree with Ads team above. Including would play hourihane deepest to get on the ball and bjarnason to drive fwds.

Definitely would play adomah and Kodjia. Definitely would start elphick. Was just watching the Preston highlights. My god that defence looked all over the place

They keep coming thick and fast don't they.  A draw. We need reinforcements.

It was the hit ball. Ignore the bollocks about Johnson, Preston only looked dangerous when they pumped a long ball.

Chester in the first half wanted shooting and it was that chance that was the catalyst for them lumping endless balls second half.

Same story as at QPR. Chester cannot deal with the high ball.

Things need freshening up, even though we are lacking numbers. I guess Kalinic, Elphick will start. I'd like to see Albert, BB and Kodjia start too. We owe this lot a beating after the game at their place.

After predicting a villa win last time, i'm going back to form rather than the heart. QPR Beat forest and boro in the last 5 games as well as ipswich, disappointing result against  reading and lost to leeds. We've been plagued by draws although wba a good result on form and swansea. With our defence and the fact they've managed 3 clean sheets in a row i'm going 2-1 to them
