Elmo has one poor game and he gets jumped on. It really is ridiculous.

There aren't too many options I might agree but he's been directly involved in us conceding 3 goals in the past three games that all affected the final outcome of those games. That's not good at all.

He's not the only one but like you said, there's not many other options so the whinging about him playing is pointless.

I have to say i am very disappointed in that team selected. I know it is early days but Deano seems to have his favourites  How Elmo and Whelan play just baffles me Also the best player for villa against  Leeds Kodjia  is left out in favour of El Ghazi who was awful when he came on against Leeds is another strange one

The thing is it’s the 2nd game in three days with another in three days.  I can’t see how Whelan has the legs for that.  He hasn’t exactly freshened things up with that line up.

I don’t think Whelan is a favourite as much as Dean sees him as a way of protecting the back four and doesn’t think O’Hare offers that. In fact if BB was fitter and not just coming back into the squad I think he’d be playing.

Poor  uninspired selection .

Disappointed that O”Hare is not being given an opportunity in Jacks role

Kodja  should be starting based on last performance

That's a load of rubbish, Smith.  Whelan was shit last match, and is surely far too old to play so soon after the Leeds debacle. Not sure what El Ghazi did to get a starting place, and why is that load of rubbish Hogan on the bench.

Maybe Kod isn't fully fit and that's he was taken off against Leeds. I'd have preferred to see O'Hare on the bench as not sure we need 3 strikers on it.

Six changes for the Swans, they're gonna be fresh as fxuk. We've got Whelan with two games in three days buffered by a big Christmas dinner, the sweaty old bastard!

Don't think we need 3 strikers on the bench, I would have put a young lad in place of Hogan.
I would put a bag of cement in place of Hogan.

Watching in 30 degrees with a lunch beer. Looks like we will not get a comfortable game
