FA Cup 3rd Round Draw: Swansea City
« on: December 02, 2018, 06:31:25 PM »
Right, we’ve give everyone else a chance for 62 years. It’s our year again now.

We are number 3 in the draw tomorrow.

Who do you want? Who will we get?

Want Solihull Moors at home so we can see their true colours. Think we’ll get a low ranking premier league team at home. Watford or Huddersfield maybe.

We'd have to play there.

As always, someone shite or likely to play a weakened team at home or a new ground away.

It would be like Blose away, only at a better stadium. I went on Friday night and the crowd was as obsessed by the Villa as the home crowd at St Andrews. Blose fans showed they are a very special breed who have managed to defy the laws of evolution.

Another year; another third round when the Villa don't get to play at Gigg Lane.  I look forward to the day when it happens and I can be home 20 minutes after the final whistle.

A decent Premier League team please.  Be interesting to see how we compare in our current form.

Trivia corner. Villa and Bury have only been drawn against each other twice in the Cup, both times the winners of the tie went on to win the Cup. 1903 Bury and 1905 Villa.

Trivia question. Bury set two FA Cup records in 1903. One was the record final victory beating Derby 6-0, what was the other ?
