The great thing about tonight, as with all good teams, is that it all seemed so easy. Always a man in space for a pass, no-one ever getting caught in possession, three men ready to put the ball in for the second goal. Great to watch. We defended a hell of a lot better than Wednesday. OK Nyland had his customary high ball fumble, but what a great save at 2-0 when things could have got edgy. It felt comfortable all the way through against a team that's let in 10 goals all season. Long may it continue.

Ah good morning all. Love reading the post match thread after we’ve doled out a battering to some poor saps and especially a Tiny Penis one. Anyway, I saw what you all saw. What I love most is that instead of basking in the glory of the win, Dean will have already been working for weeks on Albion and this week after a couple of days off for the players implementing a specific game plan for them.

The players must be feeling 10ft tall right now. They were asked to buy into a new way playing, of thinking and critically of preparing. They are now all seeing for themselves how well this comes together. Their belief in each other and of the manager must be sky high. Love Dean Smith.

Hang on, we scored 3 v Derby, 4 v Blues, 5 v Forest and your'e happy with 3 v Borough. it was meant to be 6.

The moment when tiny penis realised his pants had been well and truly pulled down was great. Shaking his head and getting his excuses ready at 3 nil. Wonderful!

Another fantastic performance.  It's a total transformation in a matter of weeks, and exciting to watch.  I'm staggered at how we could have been so bad under Bruce, and so good now.  Long may it last.

What a performance!

To go away to that cold, desolate wasteland and pull off a commanding performance is the stuff of a booze fuelled hazy dream. Don’t wake me up because the football is fabulous, the expectations are enormous, the players are playing, the squad looks amazing in depth and the teams above us will be fearing us.

I’ve heard some shite that if that blues player had made it 2-0 we wouldn’t have come back - bollucks! We were 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 down and kept coming back.

Camera cut to the baggies manager whose glazed expression said to me he’ll put 10 behind the ball.

Special mention to El Gazi who in 2 games looks a live wire!

Can’t wait for the Baggies match.

I've just been perusing that lot.com, and in particular their Villa match thread (they seem to have one for every match we play).

It's worth a look. There's some begrudging praise there. Days like today must be fucking awful (I say 'must be' because I'm only 50, so I've never actually experienced a situation where Blues are significantly better than us for any period of time).

First time poster.

That is exactly what I’d expect us to be in the Championship. Not scared of anyone. Taken it to them in their own backyard and smashed them.

RIP dinosaur football. Welcome to the revolution.

Look at this for a thread title from an opposition fan:

I must say that Boro fans are very balanced and fair. I looked at ONEBORO and it was similar.

This isn't just getting the Villa back; it's like getting the 76-77 version of the Villa back. I fancy us to score a hat-full against anyone. Even if the FA Cup third round draw sends us to the Etihad I'd fancy us to get a couple.

Beware even that team had hiccups
