Smith seems to have brought a lot of changes but I can't get over the improvement in fitness - seems a remarkable transformation.

I’ve always said though that players who are performing well always look fitter than ones that aren’t

Liam Rosenior talking like we are Barcelona.
I fucking love it.

When we first appointed Smith, the Sky Sunday Supplement was talking about it. One of them (not sure who) said he had been gushing about the way Bielsas Leeds had been playing and someone in the office told him if he thought that was good, he needs to look at the way Smith's Brentford plays.

Just watched the highlights on that Quest EFL show. Holloway thinks we didn't like Bruce because he used to manage Bloose. Nothing to do with shit football and the complete transformation of the same group of players under Deano of course. How does that idiot still get employment

I feel honoured. We have our own thread on SHA forum: Headed "Vile" They're grudgingly admitting that we're a class above this league and going up. Have a read on their site......

It's their No.1 thread on a day they've won 3-0.

I'm afraid I can't go on that site as it's against my religion but if you could post any comments then I am sure they would brighten up even a brilliant night.

"I don't ask for the meaning of the song of a bird or the rising of the sun on a misty morning or beating Boro 3-0 away. There they are, and they are beautiful."

With apologies to Pete Hamill.

Agree it is

I’ve been telling my 10 year old for as long as he’s been interested in Villa that it will get better
we will be back again one day
we will play football that you will want to watch one day

I didn’t know when that day would come until now

This isn't just getting the Villa back; it's like getting the 76-77 version of the Villa back. I fancy us to score a hat-full against anyone. Even if the FA Cup third round draw sends us to the Etihad I'd fancy us to get a couple.

Weird was just going thinking that during the game.  We’d give anybody a run for their money these days.  Actually looking forward to the FA cup for a change.

A couple more performances like that and this season will start to have a feeling of inevitability about it, like a mirror image of 2016/17.

That must be the best team performance in the Championship this season.
And I don’t even think we got out of second gear.  The best thing guys is this is just the start after only a few games in charge.

When we take a deserved lead I’ve finally stopped thinking it’s all about to go tits up. Exciting times. The clubs above us must be getting very worried and they should be.

Have to say not sure in second gear, but totally agree there are better things to come with this manager in charge. Loved the reaction of Kelly and Terry as well, we are a real team and great to hear Deano praising the attitude of Glenn Whelan as well. He really seems to know what he is doing

I often like to write my own view and comment however scrolling through these comments I find mostly everything has been covered and I would be echoing the sentiment

It's all such positivity after that Excellent performance and result!

Points to add:
A clean sheet =super!

A shout out to Chester who really excelled as a set piece attacker and deserves his goal

Elmohamedy coming in and doing his job at right back seamlessly

And of course  !!!
The main thing to add is recognising Glen Whelan scored ! take a bow!!

All the players congratulated him and he was just loving it all!

So happy for him a great occasion for him to have a goal against his Irish team mate Randolph !

Up the villa !
