A bloke traveled over from San Antonio to watch his first ever Villa game. Imagine this being your first game!

I imagine you'd want to see the next one! I can't wait! UTV

Whelan can't play twice a week and Hourihane simply isn't a defensive midfielder, Bruce left the club with dire problems at the back and Smith doesn't have many options until January.
Not seen the replay yet but it seems when we went in front the defence started tapping it around like they did against the unwashed, we should have learnt the lesson we don't have the skill level at the back to do that.

I thought Whelan was o.k when he came on, passing was good and won his tackles.

Our game management at 5-4 just wasn't good enough. Instantly dropped off, starting conceding silly free kicks and just let Forest pass the ball around which given what they'd created before wasn't a good idea.
My enjoyment stopped when we started dicking around at 5 -4 against 10 men.
That is not the manager that is poor decisions by some of the players.
We need to stop that attitude, it was reminiscent of the Man Ure  Van Horseface game.

I have been saying for weeks that Terry should be encouraged to put his boots on. Axel wouldn't have to work so hard on his own. Is this Spanish keeper any good? Obviously not.

He’s Portuguese and no, he’s worse.

Worse than that, they were at sea and we had some attacks with options to go forwards and decided on passing backwards and sideways. This encouraged them to press.
We lost possession and inevitably they scored.

Actually the only surprise and disappointment for me is we were waiting to put AEM on, Forest scored and we still decided to do that subbed. Would've put Hogan on at that point considering we were just hitting crosses at that point.

Guess DS just dosen't think he can recapture his Brentford form when looking at him on the training pitch.

Some very simple made tonight. We can’t keep starting games we have in the last two. If we are serious about the top 2 spots, then this needs sorting very quickly. Wonder what JT was thinking
I'll have what your having

Forest impressed me. Going forwards at least. They look dangerous on the break.

Defensively they look shite mind. Which they're not, in the slightest. Which is pleasing for us.

Whelan to start the weekend and Hourihane to drop out.

Forest fans seem to think we're frightening going forwards and will potentially go up automatically.

Have to say I was also a little surprised by how "low" the attendance was especially after Sunday.

32k for midweek is still pretty good but Forest sold out their allocation so was pretty much the same home attendance for the Bolton game.

Thought it would be 34-35k.

1993. The whole year. /baddumtish

6-4 v Blackburn is the serious answer.

As former European Cup winners, Villa and Forest may not be the respective forces they once were, but they put on a show tonight!

When was the last time we saw 10 goals at Villa Park?

6-4 in the second leg semi against Blackburn in 2010
