When we play them, and in the run up to the games, I hate everything about them. Besides that, they rarely cross my mind. Fuck them.

A 9 page pisstake Does not = obsession. It means that people like taking the piss out of their local rivals who are obsessed about drinking in town and boasting about it.

Yeah, it does.  Don't know why people can't admit it.

I am not obsessed, with them. I hate the way they make me feel, with there vile, this, vile that, and total rubbish I have put up with over the years. I dislike the club and fans because of the sheer hatred towards us. So when they are giving it loads about what they are going to do, and we win, of course I am going to celebrate. Personally I hope we go up, and dont play them for 10 years or more.
What he said.  Without us they would be bereft. Without them we would be indifferent!

Agree with lots of the original post from the Bluenose regarding the game but he seems to have conveniently forgot a few things :-

1. One of the three major players they were apparently missing was very kindly loaned to them by us, on the basis that he’s about our 8th choice in midfield as he’s nowhere near good enough for us. Despite this fact, they can’t do without him. Says it all.

2. We were missing McGinn. Probably our most influential midfielder this season who runs all day long and is in great form.

3. Chester had a mare as he clearly wasn’t 100% fit but had to play as he was our only option.

4. Their second goal was scored by a player who was signed against EFL rules.

Four amazing points there.
Yes I agree. Superb post that.

On point 4 though, if they hadn’t been allowed to sign him he wouldn’t have been able to pass to Hutton before he went on his mazy run through their shite team.

Don't forget they won THE trophy today. The one you get for claiming to have more fans drinking in pubs in town.

The whole thing about drinking in town is absolutely hilarious to me.

I feel like it's entirely based on them not seeing many Villa fans about, neglecting the fact that 39,000 of us are at the game?

When was there a penalty last season? If they want facts they should at least not make them up completely.

The thing with them is that unlike the Albion they don't have anything remotely going for them or something you might at least respect. I love beating the Baggies but winning against Blues means more because they absolutely hate us just for our very existence.

They have been falling over themselves on line to bad mouth us for years and there's definitely a violent undercurrent as its in their DNA. Eventually they will beat us but unlike them we will accept and move on to the next game.

After the "Enk" game, I awoke to find a envelope on my door mat with no stamp or anything on it. Inside was a newspaperclipping of poor "Enk". Turns out a Blues mate, had misappropiated a couple of hundred pounds of company money to get this couriered to my door overnight. Fair play....

So Monday he gets a gif of their fans celebrating the ball hitting the post.

Unfriended on social media and a sarky txt to say no need and how classless.

Richard it is difficult to move on when that lot only have a 2 game season and they have been demolished in the 1st of them :)

I worked in a King's Heath school for a few years during MON's tenure, I would always get teased by the rags about them being bigger. So the easiest way to shut them up is ask them how they measure this, it would confuse the feck out of them.

Bigger stadium, perhaps?
Larger attendances at home or away?
Most years in the top flight?
Most league and cup wins?
Most players represented at international level?
Hosting semi-finals or international games?
How often are they on TV compared to "da villa"

You can go on and on but it overwhelms them so they retort with the old cliches about more fans and more pashun and being harder... they won't ever understand but they will keep right on and enjoy living in the shadows. We offer them a glimpse into a better life every once in a while and they seem to be happy with it, if they get lucky they might even get a goalless draw out of us.

I was having a toast with my lad on the way back on Sunday as it was his first derby game. "Here's to many more wins against them".

Then I immediately changed it and said "I hope you never see us play them again"!

Can someone remind me again....who actually are Birmingham city ? Are they the local speedway team ?

Speedway is a good analogy for them. Dirty, noisy, always going round in circles and always appear to be on the verge of coming a cropper.

You want lessons on giving explanations on moral victories, just read this it is comedy gold

'The Reverse Fixture Thread' (Yes, already)!

"Give them 800 tickets, open 'The John Merrick' and sue WMP and the EFL if they try to prevent us from doing so".

Do they have enough money to fund litigation against the police and football league?
