Apart from Jota who were they missing?

Probably about four players we have never heard of and who they have never actually rated but as an excuse for todays defeat will all of a sudden be classed as their best players.

Gil Merrick would never have let in 4 against the vile.

Don't forget they won THE trophy today. The one you get for claiming to have more fans drinking in pubs in town.

Another one here.

He spends half of the interview, which is all about them winning a game to stay up banging on about the vile and a game against us two weeks previously and then moaning about us giving it the big 'un after said game. Then says "we don't care what anyone else says about us" when clearly he cared enough to bring it up a couple of weeks later when he should have just been celebrating their last day survival.

By Friday they will be talking like they actually won the game.  You can never beat Blues, only score more goals than them.

By Friday??? You can bet your life they were all discussing another moral victory over us as soon as they were in the pub after the game.

There's a clear pattern that emerges through the week after we have beaten them.  First few days - "we might have won if such and such had / hadn't happened" (even after they have conceded four goals). By midweek it's "we definitely would have won if such and such had / hadn't happened".  By the end of the week it has become "everyone knows we would have won if such and such had / hadn't happened.  Villa got the three points, but we won really so we can't really take it as a loss".

Their level of performance gets better through the week as well.  After the game you do get a few of them admitting that the better team won, but by the end of the week every single one of them claims they were by far the better side and played brilliantly.

Happy birthday Craig xx

Yes.  Enjoy your salty, tear stained birthday now, y'hear.

He looks a really poor player now, who only really offers anything at set pieces.  Got hooked as well which is always a nice moment!

It's not just games against us. If you listen to the noses that ring up WM, all season they've made out as if they're 10 points clear at the top, despite barely winning 1 in every 4.

Cheating vile bastards we are. Apparently we had more players on the pitch, fiddled the result by blatantly scoring more goals, and it was all possible because we have been playing better than them coming into the game.

We've just played them, I think we can talk about them as a consequence.

For me, there were positives to take from it. Looking at the team sheet before the game, I thought we'd get absolutely butchered. We had a midfield that had never played together, yet we scored two goals and looked competitive until that awful fourth. This game was lost on narrow margins, despite the scoreline. Che scores and we win. Had we had a full starting 11, we would have won. I honestly believe that.

There are wakeup calls for both Morro and Dean, and obviously Harding on the left didnt work. I will put my hands up and say that whilst Camp is nowhere near the horror show some people make out, he is a level or two below the rest of our first eleven and when we sort out this mess with the EFL, his has to be the first position replaced.

In terms of the vile. Their defence is laughable. It was worse than ours today. The only reason they got 4 and we got 2 is that they have a much better attack - they can bring Bolasie off the bench.

We were unlucky that they hit a purple patch coming into this at the same time that we've gone off the boil but it won't last. Theyve got a very tough month ahead and December will be the acid test. I think they'll get the playoffs again but nothing more.

As for us, anything would be possible if could even sign a couple of players. We're stuck until this situation gets sorted. We won't be in another relegation battle, which for me is a blessing.

To be fair that’s pretty coherent even if we don’t agree.  Our defence is laughable but it’s not of Dean’s making and January is only 5 weeks away

Actually, that is a reasonably balanced assessment.

His legs have gone, as evidenced by the fact that he couldn't take Hutton out when he walked through the entire Blues team, on his way into folklore.
