I wonder if that bloke will make another funny video in our shop?

We could hire him to play Santa in the club shop between now and Christmas.

You have to be CRB checked to be a shop Santa though.

Some of the passing we engaged in across our back four was fucking terrifying.

It's nice that we patiently keep the ball, but fucking hell, it was edge of seat stuff at times I thought, so close did we come to giving it away.

Thought Blues were the better team the first half hour.

Fuck them, though, the dirty c***s, they got what they deserved.

Not defending the back four because you're right but imagine giving the ball to McGinn the past few weeks to take forward and the drop off to Whelan who sits too and is a liability when on the ball or with his distribution. This back four needs more protection and it ain't Whelan.

For some reason I thought play had stopped before their second goal went in, so it was a nasty surprise when everyone started walking back towards the centre circle.

I think what we're seeing is our back four (centre halves in particular) trying to play out in the new way they're being coached to.  They struggle with it at times, and especially when being pressed high, which is something the Blues did well in spells - teams will do that more often no doubt.  The good thing we get in return is more space behind with our very good (in this league) forward players.

To be fair, Chester looked like he was playing with an injury to me.  And yes, McGinn makes a huge difference in there.

I haven't seen a single Blues fan all day other than in the ground, there myths get displaced more and more by the year.

Listened to Dean Smith’s interview on the way home and think he summed it up perfectly really.  He said we moved the ball too slowly in the opening stages and they were able to exert a bit of pressure as a result.  We also kept giving the ball away and committing silly fouls in areas that allowed them to get the ball into the box.  We then had a spell though where we did move the ball quickly and cut them open twice to go 2-1 up.

I really thought we would run away with it when we went 3-1 up, but we kept giving the ball away in bad areas and let them back into it.  And then it happened - if you ever wanted a goal for us in that situation to effectively seal the game, it would be that goal and it would be Alan Hutton who scored it.

Whenever I watch Jack's goal and they show Craig Gardner all I hear in my head is "look at his face, just look at his face".

Calm down Craig and make yourself feel better tonight by pretending you are a life long Villa fan again.
