Birmingham pubs for Blose game
« on: November 21, 2018, 03:16:42 PM »
Hi all,

I'm looking for suggestions for pubs to watch the game on Sunday. Anywhere is Birmingham is fine and preferably on on a train route.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I have suggested the British Oak in Stirchley but wondering if going Sutton way would be best.

If you’re considering Sutton then I’d suggest The Royal, which is not far from the station and shows all Villa games.

Also The Yenton is really close to Chester Road Station.

Problem with town is that you never know which pubs are more Villa than Blues particularly as most of our lot will be at the game most of theirs won't be obviously.

Cheers for the suggestions.  I think Brum center is definitely best avoided.

Just watch it in town, they'll all have skulked off by half time anyway and you'll have the pub to yourself.

I'm surprised why anyone would go all the way into the city centre on a Sunday morning when they could just watch it in their local.

couldn't imagine cardiff having 2 teams

we have bristol 40 miles to the east and swansea 40 miles west as local derbys

if i was in birmingham tomorrow i would pop into the inn on the river to watch the game but judging by location it would be  blues territory
