How did the idea of having Ron celebrated on the 81st minute against Leeds come about?  I thought he'd died at first.

Through Project B6 who do the pre match flag displays in the Lower North Stand

I didn’t have a clue. We had Leeds penned in their right back corner and I just assumed everybody was pushing the team onwards

Just finished Brassneck's book (started it yesterday). Really enjoyable read that although I'm too young for the majority of the era.

The last Villa book I read was the Ron Saunders one a couple of months back, which was excellent. 'The Odd Man Out'. Although very much mainly about his time at Villa, it also covered his time both before and after Villa quite well. I got 'Ticket To The Moon' (Aston Villa The Rise And Fall Of A European Champion) for Christmas but haven't started it yet.

Did the Ron one contain any recent interviews with the man? By recent I mean even a decade ago when he was at VP and spoke to Pravda. His health in more recent times would probably have precluded any involvement in a book about him even if he wanted to.

Completely forgot I bought this before Christmas, left it in my desk.
