It really isn't. It was all about money when we there, it's still all about money. The top 6 clubs are the same top 6 clubs it was then. Fuck all has changed and won't for a long time. The level of spending may have increased, but it increases every year. You make it sound like we've been out of there for decades.

I want us to be promoted but at the same time I don't miss the PL circus and all the bullshit that comes with being in the PL.

2-0, Abraham & McGinn. I hope to be told this by text when I land in Dubai 3 1/2 hours after the game should have finished !

Smash the tramps because that's what they are. Miserable, snidy, sneaky trampy bastards.
I hope it's cold and dank like it was in 87 when we did them, Bruno, Bruno, Bruno.
happy times - I went to the 5-0 league cup match, my first derby.

You do know we spent 25 consecutive years in the premier league? Only 6 clubs can better this. The main changes occurred when the Arab & Russian money completely skewed things in favour of Man City & Chelsea. We're only too aware of this as we were at the heart of things when it happened. I agree with your assessment about today.I think a draw is a likely outcome but obviously I'm hoping for a Villa win. A draw will mean an open  top bus parade in Brum tomorrow which would fuck my day up.

Chester apparently back. If no McGinn then Jedi should fill that position nicely.  3-2 Villa.

Had a vivid dream that an early defensive cock up allowed the denizens of Hades to score early on, and then hold out for the win. Woke up thinking the game had already been played, it was that vivid.

Anyway, fuck that. Come on, Villa.
