Well, there's one or two things in there I never thought I'd write.

Good summary of Deano and what awaits him and his team. Wikipedia tells me he is the 31st manager of our great club. I’m shocked to realise I’ve seen Villa play under 23 of those. That’s a ridiculous number (I’m not that old), shows what a see-saw club we’ve been in my time.

I was delighted to wake up to this news. Dean Smith was definately in my top three of managers I wanted and I also wanted Terry involved. Along with Pitarch there is clearly a well thought out plan/structure here. I would think that Smith and Terry will bring a lot of passion and desire and any player not matching that will unlikely to be involved for long. A proven Championship manager who as a bonus is one of our own and a young assistant with a hell of a playing CV who already has the respect of the dressing room.
Any news on Kevin MacDonald? If he is free I would be prepared to give him a few quid to clear out my loft and shed.

In the end though Damo, your loft and shed would look the same.

That last sentence. I once went to Dean's house in Great Barr as my Dad was a friend of his parents. Dean wasn't in at the time. I think he was at school! Blimey, I'm getting old!

People already referring to 'Deano' and 'Smithy'. Better than 'Potato Head' of course.
