I presume the match tickets will be non refundable? even though they were booked before any time or date could be confirmed?

One last hurrah from Chris Heck.

Looks like we might just get the last train back to London if we leave at half time and race to New Street. And then it looks like rail replacement buzzes will be operating. I presume the match tickets will be non refundable? even though they were booked before any time or date could be confirmed?

They're always refundable, aren't they? Train tickets, not so much.

We’re better ‘under the lights’ than on Sunday afternoons, so I’m not bothered from a football POV, but it’s a pisser for lots of fans no doubt.

And it’s bang out of order from the PL after telling us to fuck off over the Liverpool game we asked to be moved.

Ah, my mistake, "refundable" seems to only apply to season ticket holders except in "exceptional circumstances". I'd wait to see what the official announcement says then email them to explain, I'd say literally not being able to get there and back is an exceptional circumstance but who knows? Good luck.

Hospitality is sold as non refundable regardless of fixture changes. I think GA tickets will be refundable. I am not sure about GA+

The difference between our situation with PSG is that our football authorities are in charge of both team's preceding fixtures.

They had no control over what was was decided for PSG fixtures, but they would directly be handing an advantage to Man U. They cannot be seen to do that.

It's not favouring their usual favourites because to do that would be to leave it as it is and give their darling Man U the advantage.

I suppose playing Liverpool later in the season could have been problematic later on if there had been an actual postponement or unexpected event necessitating the need for extra free midweeks

It could have been, but the club thought that we were best served by playing it at another time - hence the request. If the precedent is to reject such requests, then they should reject them. Or, as above, don't give a need for such a request to be made by not moving Man Utd to the Friday night in the first place.

It doesn't personally bother me when we play it (athough there are almost certainly a lot of supporters screwed over by it who I sympathise with), but if we've said that we don't want to change it (and as above, we clearly have our reasons for that) then the precedent is for it not to be changed.

In an attempt to be fair, they've accidently fucked the Villa. Twas ever thus.

It would have been best solved by moving both to Saturday imo!

FA Cup final is Saturday, hence the Friday/Sunday matches.

Disgusting from the FA.

Nothing to do with the FA is it? PL fixtures are the PL domain. Only thing the FA had to do with it was they have the Cup final on the Saturday and told the PL not to play any games that day.

Since when did that matter?

I suppose playing Liverpool later in the season could have been problematic later on if there had been an actual postponement or unexpected event necessitating the need for extra free midweeks. Moving the game from Sunday to Friday doesn't make any odds in that respect.

It could have done, but the club thought that we were best served by playing it at another time - hence the request. If the precedent is to reject such requests, then they should reject them. Or, as above, don't give a need for such a request to be made by not moving Man Utd to the Friday night in the first place.

The Man U match was moved to avoid a clash with the Women's Cup Final. The precedent seems to be to reject such requests when they could cause a problem later on, as it could have done if we had played Liverpool on another midweek. Not reject them when they can easily be accommodated, as this request can be.

I couldn't be more pissed off with this. Nice Sunday match and routine last game and focus on the kids turns into a Friday night rush. They wouldn't have done this for us.

Since a few years ago when they arranged league matches on the same day as the FA Cup Final and everyone, quite rightly, moaned like fuck. Obviously, the FA Cup Final should just be the last game of the season, but this is still better than before when the cup final was upstaged by league games.

FA Cup tradition went out the window years ago.
