Fat Sam just moaned in his post-match interview tonight that he and Dean Smith were happy for Villa v West Brom to go ahead next weekend (Sat/Sun 17th/18th) instead of the following weekend but the PL wouldn't allow it.

We're running out of midweeks to fit in the Everton home game. High chance we'll play them twice in a row in league games in May. Must be many years since we've done that against any team.

Last time we played two successive league games against the same opposition (not counting playoffs) was Easter Monday and Tuesday 1974, against Blackpool. Lost one-nil at Villa Park and then two-one up there.

Nice work, PWS would be proud. Speaking of whom, I haven't seen him post in a while. Hope he's doing ok.

It's gotta be the last week in April, 1st week in May or the 3rd week.

Everton (a) - Saturday 1st May, 8pm, BT.

Man U (h) - Sunday 9th May 2.05pm, Sky.

Everton (h) - possibly to be played at some point between now and the end of July if the league can be arsed to let us know.

Man U on the 9th, then Palace on the 11th?
