Am I a bad person or a sell out if I decide to pay the £15 tonight?

Each to their own.

I won't be paying £15 for Villa v Leicester though!

It is not for any of us to judge you on that, but you will burn in the fires of hell for all eternity if you do.

I actually would prefer to pay per match basis that the monthly subscription as I only watch villa games.

The issue is that I like nfl and golf so unless you have sky sports you are pretty limited in watching those

I will be paying as it would normally cost a lot more to actually attend the games

I figured I'm going there anyway...

However, maybe I should just go to the pub.

I'm the same, I don't watch anybody or anything else with more than a passing interest these days. I had a Now month pass that served me quite well. It's about to expire and I had renewed at a discount, but even that meant we'd have to be on Sky 3 times a month for it to be worth it. I might feel differently come the business end of the season, but that's cancelled and I will be paying this evening.

Well I decided to go for it. Ordered SD rather than HD. I reckon that half was bad enough without having to watch it in a crappier format! Serves me right.

I paid for it and because we won it feels like money well spent. I am also likely to pay for the match on Friday. Reading some comments here and elsewhere, am I a mug/immoral or both for doing this?

I'm surprised how many pubs are advertising the PPV games.  Would they only have to pay the £14.95 also or is there a premium to broadcast it in a pub etc?

Why do you give a fuck what anyone else thinks of whether you paid or not? It’s your decision, what anyone else thinks is irrelevant.

And I’m of the view that I’d have been paying £30+ to watch it in person so £14.95 seems like a snip. As long as the clubs get a good proportion of that money I’ve also no issue with Sky/BT taking a broadcasters fee to get the thing out there. Others disagree and think it’s immoral, fair enough.

That’s the view I took too, just see it as paying for this rather than my season ticket.

No extra charge for the pubs, included in their Sky / BT Business contracts.

I'm special guest on the Sandwell Town table at our local tonight, I expect it to be busy which is not really needed given the circumstances but they've been very good from an organisational point of view. It just depends how people behave and if there's any tomfoolery, I'm off.

Of course, they will be waiting for me to mention last night but as ever I will underplay it and make them even more angry.
