The pricing is obviously an issue, and more of one depending on your individual circumstances, but my biggest problem with this is the random nature of the whole set up. As a Villa, Albion or Fulham fan, to see all my teams games in October/ early November, it will cost me gbp 44.85 but a West Ham or Citeh fan, it won’t cost me extra as their games are all selected for Sky or BT. Less fashionable clubs such as Burnley, Fulham etc. will never be selected as much as Liverpool, Man Ure, Arsenal etc. so their fans will always end up being charged more.

if a premier league football club is worried about losing money then why in the summer did they spend so much on transfers?

There is no way I would pay £15 per game

This in a nutshell is how I feel about this situation. I want the price point lowered and an assurance that the PPV games will be spread out over the remainder of the season (which I know won’t happen, as sky won’t accept this).

The current round of televised games were picked before this announcement.  You can bet your bottom dollar that the next games chosen for TV will ensure a few PPV for Liverpool, Man U et al.

I thought that initially, but thinking about it, given that those two have such big followings, I reckon the TV companies may decide to leave things as they are so as not to affect advertising revenue. And so that fewer people moan. (given how many ex players etc are now pundits it's ripe for criticism as they look out for their own.)

Play the players less - that wont happen (we have just given Jack a £100k a week new contract)

I think it is this month when the Villa players get all there money back that they "gave up" to help the club pay all its staff during furlough

I read yesterday that Southampton wanted to give their season ticket holders free access to their games that would be shown on PPV - now that would be a good idea!

And the money goes to different places. Sky aren't making anything out of the PPV games so they'll continue to pick the teams they think best serves their purpose for "normal" telly.  PPV will be for the leftovers.

Are Southampton one of the clubs that had already taken money off supporters for 2020/21 STs ?

They voted to charge everyone too. So they want to shaft their own fans that aren't season ticket holders.

The game is truly getting to be so far up itself it's scary.

It looks like you can, but there might be some limits as to what device you can use to actually watch it.

Interesting to note that during the Celtic game on Sky the matches shown on the "normal" Sky channels over the weekend are being trailed, but not the ones being shown on the Box Office/PPV channel. Presumably because they are not getting the revenue.

Am I a bad person or a sell out if I decide to pay the £15 tonight?

Neither, it’s a free country just do what your own conscience dictates.
