Have just realised I’m at a concert with the girlfriend on…….30th November. Gah!

She might have dumped you for a rich bloke in Manchester by then!

Unlikely she knows all the moneys in North Cheshire😜

So the Wolves game is not live, bit of a surprise.

Actually, I've just noticed that Villa v Wolves and Albion v Birmingham are both currently scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 16 October.  So one of these games will I'm sure be moved, probably theirs, for TV, as the live televised Championship games haven't been selected that far ahead just yet (though it does seems to be a weekend of derbies in the championship, inc Cardiff v Swansea and QPR v Fulham).

Wonder if we could request Chelsea game be put back 24 hours as just seen Commebol playing round on Thursday 9th September which is ridiculous:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_(CONMEBOL)

Would make it near impossible for Emi, Buendia and Luiz all to get back in time unless they just fly straight into London but I wouldn't fancy starting any of them coming straight off 14 hour flights unless we get them a private jet or they share a lift with Messi to Paris or something.

Short answer is no, I think. If the match was on the same day we would be entitled to ask for the game to be moved if we have three or more players called up. As it is two days later, they would say it is theoretically possible for them to play so we will likely not be able to move the game. It'll be the same situation in October with Argentina and Brazil in action two days before Villa vs Wolves.

FIFA have granted CONMEBOL dispensation to play two triple headers in two months to make up for games lost due to Covid.

The South American equivalent of UEFA.

FFS, no wonder clubs get pissed off with FIFA. We pay these players a fortune, they travel halfway round the world multiple times a year and you're left praying that they don't come back injured.

I was wrong all along. MON was right. Let's just only buy British. James fucking Ward Prowse for £70m...at least he'll be available every day.

In fairness, it is only happening this one year because of the pandemic. They are qualifiers for the actual World Cup, too, so not like they've arranged a bunch of pointless friendlies to bring in a few quid.

Chelsea should also be without Thiago Silva. Wolves have one uncapped player each from Brazil and Colombia who, presumably, could be called up.

What about Leon - Jamaica are in CONCACAF, right? CONMEBOL's less attractive sibling...will he be off trinidad and tobago-ing somewhere at the same time as our Latinos?

They have the normal two matches in a week so shouldn't be any different from the European international window other than additional travel fatigue.
