Ryder Cup 2018
« on: September 27, 2018, 01:46:38 PM »
Who do you think will win?

As seems to always be the case, the Americans look strong but can they get a result away from home?

I'm going for Europe by 3 points even though we've an older team.

Don't care who plays as long as it is a win for Europe.

Europe to win 28-0, Brexit cancelled. Everyone's a winner.

I was disappointed to hear booing aimed at the Americans on the first tee, for the first match. That's the sort of boorish behaviour we come to expect across the pond and makes any European victory a moral one as well. I'm hoping that we don't hear it again.

Agreed, no need.

Sounds like a decent fightback so far, Americans look likely to win one match but the other three could go either way. We were miles back in the one of them so doing well to be level.

At least we won the last one of the morning. Three-one down.

Poor performance from most of our players this morning. USA were merely average but we gifted them so much.

Can be easily turned around this afternoon, but I think the Americans are looking strong.  Really don't fancy the European chances in the singles on Sunday, so really need to build a decent lead by the end of play tomorrow.

Haven't heard anything like that since thankfully.

Europe staging a great fight back now, but it's still the first 9. Nice to see Sergio clenching his fist again. The ebb  and flow of this sort of format is brilliant and utterly engaging.

Crikey, well up in all 4. I think we've got the same format tomorrow? I'd prefer foursomes again in the morning and keep them on the rack.

First time ever clean sweep in the foursomes for Europe. Great stuff

Great turnaround in the afternoon though!

Furyk playing Mickleson and Bubba in the foursomes format was a staggering decision.
