Just seen his quote on the Beeb match preview....

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce told BBC Radio WM:
"We haven't quite got the balance right yet, we've made a lot of mistakes defensively, and we're going to have to be a bit more resilient than we have been at the minute defensively.
"We've tried to be a bit more expansive but for me we're too open at the moment, we haven't quite got the balance correct.
"Fitting into what we did last year is easy for some, but the six that have now joined us will take a bit of time, it's not an excuse, it's the way it is."

From that I take
1. We won't be playing fast open expansive football tonight., so hoping to nick a 1-0
2. The six we have lost is now the six that have joined!!!

[/quote) He just can't let go can he - excuses in before kick off.
With that mindset I'm not at all optimistic - 1-2 loss

Villa win 3-2. Although we cant defend their defence it injury plagued hence I'm going for the away win!

Yeah Steve, the reason we concede so many is because we're too expansive, it has nothing to do with you fucking up the defence. How will we cope if he stops all this free flowing attacking football we've seen this season?

Parked up about a mile from ground and in the next car was one of the Yorkshire Lions.  I keep bumping into him at away games.  Fair play to him,  all the way from Barnsley on his own on a Friday night. UTV

Looking forward to this. Game last season Bruce went with three at the back. Nearly with disastrous consequences. Not sure if he would be crazy enough to try it again. Here is the team I would go with

----------------Nyland
Elmo, Chester, Axel, Taylor
-------Jedinak, Hourihane
------McGinn, Grealish, Bolasie
---------------Abraham

Madness, but if we win and leeds lose, we're just two behind them. That, I fear gives Bruce plenty more time.

Sky red button apparently.

I've just paid for a NowTV day pass to watch the game, I now realise my TV doesnt support it and I can only watch on my laptop, which doesnt have a red button to switch from the Leeds match.

Any of you tech boffins have any suggestions? If not I'm away down the pub.
